The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mardis Travels and Tours, Umeokoli Cordis-maria Yotamara, has been named as one of the Africa Travel 100 under 40 award winners by the organisers of Akwaaba Travel Market, West Africa’s largest travel expo and Atqnews.com.
Mardis Travels and Tours, is a destination management company that promotes tourism destinations in Nigeria and Africa.
She also doubles as the Public Relation Officer of the Nigeria association of Tour Operators. An association whose aim is to enhance the country’s tourism potential, creates unique experiences for travellers, and contributes to the socio-economic development of local communities, and showcasing Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage and natural beauty.
Cordis-maria an SDG goals advocate, is a graduate of National Open University of Nigeria having studied Environmental science and resource management.

She has an advanced diploma in air ticketing and reservation/tourism and also a certification in customer service relation from Universal school of aviation, Lagos.
She also gained an advanced diploma in Tour marketing and management from Dubai College of Tourism. She has won herself so many awards and certifications in the travel and tourism industry. In 2020, she was inducted into the 100 Tourism personality club. A winner of the best domestic promoter in Nigeria, in 2020.
Awarded with a Nigeria tourism specialist certificate, in 2020 The best domestic traveler, in 2021.
She is also undergoing more training and courses and has been working so efficiently to keep the company abreast.
She is a high-spirited young lady whose passion for travel and tourism is strongly soaring beyond measures and her goal is to contribute in making Nigeria tourism industry a top notch in Africa and in the world.
