Having hosted two successful events in the hospitality sector to bridge the gap between International and Indigenous brands in Nigeria, the third edition of the Hotel Managers’ Conference 2021 is set to Hold 15th -16th July in Akwa Ibom State.
The yearly event which has attracted participants from across the globe is aimed to ensure continuous tourism development and drive to improve the performance of hotel managers in Nigeria and Africa.
The event with the theme: “Hotel Sales, Service & Standard”, will be held at the Rosmohr Gold Hotels, Ewet Housing Estate, at 10am in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
According to the convener of the event, CEO/Managing Director, Tojum Hospitality, Mr Sunday Olugbenga, top rated resource personnel have been listed to share their wealth of experience in the travel and tourism sector, especially as it relates to the hospitality industry.
According to Olugbenga, the lead speaker, Professor Wasiu Babalola, an honorary Chairman, Institute of Hospitality UK-Nigeria branch, comes with wealth of experience spanning over a decade in the sector.
Professor Babalola is also involved in a number of hospitality related consultancy projects such as membership of the International Management Council of Continent Worldwide Hotels, Turkey while supporting the brands expansion into Africa. He is also a Council Member of the Nigerian Hotel & Catering Institute (NHCI) and the Certified Board of Administration of Nigeria (CBAN).
Also, former General Manager & Director of Finance, Ibom Hotel &Golf Resort, Brian Efa will be delivering a keynote address at the 2021Hotel Managers’ Conference.
Mr. Brian was instrumental to the successes recorded by Ibom Hotel and Resort during the COVID19 lockdown in the country while the sector globally experienced financial downturn.
Brian Efa was named top 30 Hospitality Influencer in Nigeria in 2018. A Harvard trained Corporate Finance expert and Finance Analyst. A Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in Hospitality, Maritime and Oil and gas .He was the pioneer Chief Financial Officer of Montego Upstream Services
National President Women in Hospitality Nigeria and founder, Calabar Hospitality House (CHH), Limited, Ovat Justina will be speaking at the event as one the keynote speakers.
CHH is an indigenous firm that provides innovative and pragmatic human capital development and customer service solutions for the rapidly changing Tourism and Hospitality environment in Nigeria.
“The purpose to the conference is to bridge the gap between International Hospitality brands and Indigenous brands both in administrative and general operation standards through annual gathering where hotel practitioners in Africa meet with Hospitality experts with global relevance and draw timely knowledge for professional exploits” he said.
