In 2022, the rate of Kenyans migrating to the United States reached its highest point in 10 years, driven by increased demand for skilled and semi-skilled workers in the US, the world’s largest economy.
This trend highlights the growing appeal of overseas opportunities for Kenyan professionals.
According to businessdailyafrica.com, data from the American liberal think-tank Migration Policy Institute (MPI), indicates that Kenyans immigrants to the US in 2022 stood at 168,915, a 9.6 percent jump from the 154, 062 recorded in 2021 when global economies were recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
