In its continuous effort to draw enthusiasts into mainstream aviation and proffer career paths in the industry, Mamaj Aviation Consult Limited, has announced the hosting of this year’s annual conference, the 8th in the series on Friday, October 4, 2024, in Lagos,

The Theme for this year: “Proactive Approach To Capacity Building In The Aviation Industry”. The 8th edition will be held at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Annex, (MMIA), Lagos at 9am prompt.

This conference, according to convener, Joy Ogbebo, is a career initiative and is held annually with goals to promote aviation careers development and to inspire and attract young Nigerians to the exciting world of Aviation. This also aligns with one of the honourable minister of Aviation and aerospace development’s agenda to develop human capacity within the industry.

Over the years, Mamaj Aviation Consult has remained a formidable platform driving advocacy for career growth in Nigeria’s aviation industry. Through this platform, its founder has helped young Nigerians, students in all tiers of education- primary, secondary and tertiary to build their career in different professions that make up the aviation industry. This platform brings together Stakeholders, Aviation training Organisations, aviation professionals and the aspiring young ones.

The aim and objectives of the conference is to introduce and mentor aspiring next generation of aviation professionals on the existing Aviation Career opportunities, introducing them to their career choice, helping them identify the key skills, highlight the valuable and strategic role of Aviators, create a platform for professional and aspiring Aviators to connect & share knowledge, as well as connecting them with the relevant training Organisations.

This is a non-profit career initiative and the primary source of funding for the event is from Aviation Agencies, corporate sponsors, airlines and private sponsors.

Invited guests speakers at this year’s Conference are Engr., Umar Farouk, MD/CEO of NAMA, as keynote speaker while Special guest speaker is George Uriesi, COO of Ibom Air. Capt. Donald Tonye Spiff, Director, Operations, Licensing and Training, Mr. Bankole Bernard, GMD/CEO, Flinchglow group, Mrs. Victoria Adegbe, CEO, Aviatrix hub and Olakunmi Odumosu, Head IT, Bellagio Air.

Professionals and the relevant training organization will also be attending.
