AKWAABA, the African Travel Market, & ATA Continue Partnership to Support West Africa Tourism

AKWAABA, the African Travel Market, and the Africa Travel Association Continue Partnership to Support West Africa Tourism.

The Africa Travel Association (ATA), the principal travel industry trade association, working in collaboration and partnership with the African Union in promoting tourism to Africa, continues its partnership with AKWAABA, the leading annual international travel fair in West Africa, to market and promote tourism to West Africa.

“ATA is delighted to once again partner with AKWAABA during its tenth anniversary to support travel and tourism in West Africa, particularly from North America and from across Africa,” said Edward Bergman, ATA Executive Director. “As an emerging travel market that is facing acute challenges with dealing with Ebola in West Africa, ATA is committed to standing in solidarity with our partners at AKWAABA and tourism stakeholders in West Africa.”

AKWAABA, also known as the African Travel Market, will be held once again at the New Expo Centre at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria from October 26 to 28, 2014. Over the last ten years, AKWAABA has become the most important travel marketing platform in the region drawing attendance from over twenty countries, including international airlines and leading African hotel chains. AKWAABA has been designated by the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) as the official travel exhibition of Nigeria.
