Aviation: AWA Targets Partnership With More African Airlines


African World Airlines (AWA) says it plans to sign partnerships with more African airlines as part of measures to expand its route networks and connect West African travelers to other parts of the world.

The Chief Operating Officer of the airline, Mr. Sean Mendies who stated this today while speaking at the Aviation Day of the 16th AKWAABA Africa Travel Market held at Eko Hotels, Lagos said AWA which currently operates 200 times monthly from Nigeria and carries 50,000 passengers monthly already has a partnership with South African Airways (SAA).

Mendies said the airline which started operations in 2012 has the capacity to operate Abuja-Accra flights, connect for two hours to any airport in Africa and then, proceed with passengers to Washington.
