Cameroon Airline Corporation has announced that one of its flights, Its MA60 aircraft with registration number TJ-QDB, was shot at with firearms as it approached Bamenda Airport from Douala for landing.
According to the airline in a statement, the incident which took place on December 1, 2019 at around 10 am however did not witness any loss of human life.
The airline applauded the Captain of the aircraft who was able to land the aircraft despite the impact of its fuselage.
The national airline says it has reorganized its schedule to handle any disruption that may rise.
It said: “Following the incident, the plane has been grounded in order to assess the nature of the impact in consultation with the relevant technical authorities. Consequently, Camair-Co’s flight schedule has been re-organised to limit any disruption that may result. “ the airline said.
