Folashade Shoyombo has been listed as one of the top 100 tourism personalities in Nigeria.
Leading tourism personalities in Nigeria will be inducted into the Tourism 100 Club at the 7th edition of the Abuja Jabamah, which is set to take place on the 18th of November 2019 at the Exhibition Hall of the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja.
Folashade Oluwatosin Shoyombo who made the top 100 list hails from Ogun State, South West of Nigeria. A graduate of Accounting from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. Attended America Hotel and lodging Institute where she got her certification as a certified Kitchen cook in 2019.
She is a professional Chef and Entrepreneur currently based in Lagos, South west Nigeria. She is a member of the Association of professional Chefs in Nigeria.
Chef Folashade’s interest in culinary skills was inspired by senior Chefs during her internship at the Intercontinental Hotel, in Lagos. Discouraged by Friends who would want to see her as a certified Accountant rather than a chef. Chef Folashade was determined to follow her dreams and grow in the culinary field.
She is currently a professional Chef with Lagos Continental Hotel formerly Intercontinental Hotel.
Chef Folashade has trained young people on several areas on food processing and is set to open an online training session via Instagram to locate young people who wants to be professional Chefs. To be on top of her profession and be innovative on her delivery of services, she has attended several professional & international trainings and Certifications on Food Processing within Nigeria.
According to Chef Folashade “I go an extra length for all my clients, I also ensure I add a signature dish that they aren’t expecting to whatever I am serving them”.
Her dream is to create an avenue for young chefs to build up their career life easily, using healthy food to create awareness in the society.
