Irie Vibes, Cervical Cancer

The rhythm of reggae meets the heartbeat of purpose as Irie Vibes 2025 returns for it’s 8th edition to Freedom Park, Lagos Island, on Thursday, November 20th at 7PM, as part of the Lagos Fringe Festival.

With the theme “Saving Lives, One Woman at a Time,” this year’s edition deepens its commitment to preventive health and women’s empowerment — made even more impactful through the support of the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) and its president, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha, whose life-saving partnership has helped provide free cervical cancer screenings for women in NATOP and the wider community.

An initiative of Shimmers Services and 09.16 Enterprise, Irie Vibes Fest is a preventive health and cultural movement that merges art, reggae, tourism and advocacy to raise awareness on women’s health, empowerment, and early cancer prevention.

“Hajia Bolaji Mustapha’s involvement reflects what true leadership looks like — using influence to save lives,” said Lucia Ikediashi, Convener of Irie Vibes Fest. “Through her generous support, women within NATOP and beyond are accessing free cervical cancer screening and vital health education. It’s a powerful act of compassion in action.”

In her remarks, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha noted, “Health is the foundation of productivity and happiness. As women, we must lead by example — taking preventive health seriously and creating opportunities for others to do the same. NATOP is proud to stand with Irie Vibes in saving lives.”

Audiences will experience an unforgettable night of live reggae and Afro-fusion performances, live art, dance, and inspiring moments that celebrate resilience and healing through creativity.

With a ₦2,000 gate fee, guests will enjoy a powerful blend of reggae entertainment and social impact under the Lagos night sky.
