About the author

Funke Ogunkoya-Futi was born in Osogbo, Nigeria, to Nigerian parents, grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the UK in 2001 to complete her high school and undergraduate studies. She holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School, France.

She moved back to Nigeria in 2015.

In 2019, she was nominated for the best travel blogger/travel planner in Nigeria. She is highly regarded in the travel industry in Africa. Funke Ogunkoya-Futi lives in Lagos with her daughter and husband, a Congolese-Canadian, who has come to see Lagos as a home away from home.
