Surely he did not cancel "because of homosexuality". He canceled because of the Ugandan government's display of hatred, intolerance, ignorance and discrimination, and the fact that all of the above are thoroughly UNCHRISTIAN. I, for one, as a Catholic, am very proud of the Pope's decision to make this strong statement to Uganda and to the world. When will these supposedly "Christian" countries, and all the Western missionaries that herd the African bishops and clergy like sheep learn that they do no more than spit on the honor and value of Jesus' teachings when they pass laws like this? It's very sad. (It's also a joke when the Ugandan president said he would not allow Western cultural warriors to infiltrate and dictate policies in his country... because this is exactly what he has done.) ~Mlenge
