While I appreciate the knowledge shared regarding the social system in the riverine area where CNN went (knowledge which was clearly absent from the report because I watched it), the Minister of Information acknowledged the existence of the problem. Although I must hasten to add that in his acknowledgement of the problem, the Minister did not specifically address the label of slavery that CNN placed on the problem. Perhaps he did not want to appear defensive but instead chose a non confrontation way by acknowledging the existence of the problems surrounding children and shared some of the interventions government was implementing in response. He even agreed to have CNN return to the area with government officials to witness the program in action. Perhaps you could do well to prompt the minister of information to expedite the invitation of CNN back and use the opportunity to add the dimension you have shared. It is true that societies can be too complex for simplistic journalism approaches to understand.
