Hi Sunday, Good job for putting together this piece. Though the narrative has changed with respect to the richest country in Africa, the top 5 countries are still occupied by the same contenders in your post. According to a recent study by https://thebusinessalert.com/richest-country-africa/ reveals that the top wealthiest countries in Africa based on GDP are as follows: Nigeria: GDP = 397.472 billion USD South Africa: GPD = 376.679 billion USD Egypt: GDP = 249.471 billion USD Algeria: GDP = 188.342 billion USD Morocco: GDP = 118.178 billion USD These are figures confirmed by IMF and the World Bank. In the end, I think the wealth of a country should be based on its ability to feed its people.
