I think we could agree that the East Africa Tourist Visa has been experiencing some 'growing pains.' However, recent feedback suggests that the system is improving. The above situation led me to do a lot of online research (Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya). I also consulted wth various stakeholders in the tourism industry in East Africa to publish what I hope is a definitive guide to the ins and outs - and practical recommendations on using - the East Africa Tourist Visa and the Interstate Pass. Official web sites rarely seem to give the full story. NOTE: the standard Uganda tourist visa is currently $100. It was $50. Sources tell me it will be put back down to $50 but I can't confirm the date for that.
