Renowned tourism consultant Alain St.Ange, founder of the Seychelles-based ‘Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy,’ is set to depart for Kazakhstan on Thursday, November 21. Invited by VisitAlmaty, the tourism department of Almaty, St.Ange’s four-day mission aims to foster international partnerships and explore opportunities to enhance tourism growth in the region.
According to a statement by the tourism veteran, this City Administration government body holds such a tourism event annually for the industry, and they invite Speakers from Influential Organizations from the Community of Nations.
The main audience is managers from tourism related people, who work in different fields of government i.e. tourist police, rescue, destination management, customs, border guards who need to train their personnel to work with tourists in a manner to show the country attractive for tourism.
“We have 300 delegates, and the number could increase slightly, and they would be divided into 10 groups with 30 people. The employees understand what tourism is in general. And Kazakhstan is a new destination, and we need to appreciate how to deal with foreigners” When being briefed on this assignment Alain St.Ange, a former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine of the Seychelles, was told that the main goal of this mission was to firm up the understanding of
International standards and the implementation importance in hospitality industry to create a “friendly” environment for international visitors and also to train people on the high standards of behavioural norms towards visitors with the aim of creating Global awareness of Kazakhstan as friendly tourist destination.
Alain St.Ange said as he was getting ready for this working trip that he was thrilled to be heading to Kazakhstan. “This will be my first visit to this very big country. It will be a discovery trip for me as I embark on this practical like training mission”
