Africa: Lufthansa Airlines Wins Top Honors at Aviation Business Excellence Awards in Nairobi, Kenya

Lufthansa Airlines has been recognized as the best passenger airline and overall winner of all categories at the prestigious Aviation Business Excellence Awards.

Station Manager Lufthansa, Nairobi, Adewale Sanni received the award on behalf of the airline.

The awards ceremony, held on March 28, 2025, in Nairobi, celebrated excellence in the aviation industry, highlighting outstanding achievements in service, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

According to a press release, the Aviation Business Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates and recognizes excellence in the aviation industry. It is a platform that honors innovation, leadership, and outstanding achievements in the aviation business sector in Kenya and East Africa.

The ABEA program, established in 2018 as part of the JKIA Airport Customer Service Charter initiative, is designed to recognize and promote service excellence at all Kenya Airport, through a competitive process, airport stakeholders are assessed using a robust business evaluation tool that measures how organizations integrate core themes of excellence.

These include Customer Focus, Leadership, Marketing, Sustainability, and People Focus—all pillars central to the Customer Service Charterl s objectives.

As the only industry award program in the African region, ABEA has continued to attract immense participation and recognition.

This year’s Gala will host over 450 industry stakeholders, making it a landmark event in celebrating outstanding achievements in aviation.

The event was attended by more than 500 industry stakeholders, from the President’s representative to Cabinet Secretary, Permanent Secretary and Chairman Board of Board of Directors of Kenya Airport Authority.
