East African Carrier, Air Tanzania has officially launched its maiden Dar es Salaam–Lagos–Accra flight, becoming the latest international airline to operate into Ghana.
The new route strengthens East–West African connectivity, boosts tourism and trade, and advances Pan-African integration under AfCFTA.

At the launch in Accra, Tourism Minister Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie highlighted the role of improved air connectivity in growing tourism and cultural exchange, inviting East Africans to explore Ghana while encouraging Ghanaians to visit Tanzania’s iconic attractions.
Officials from both countries described the route as a strategic bridge for economic cooperation and people-to-people exchange.
The service reinforces Ghana’s position as a gateway to West Africa and supports a more connected African aviation market.
