The Pan-African Company ASKY has officially launched the construction of its flight simulator for Boeing 737, marking a major step in its ambition to make Lomé a true hub of air transport in West and Central Africa.
According to a press release by the airline, this large-scale project, fully financed from its own funds, demonstrates ASKY’s vision for the sustainable development of African air transport and the strengthening of local capacities. During the site visit, Mr. Esayas Woldemariam Hailu, CEO of ASKY, stated: “This is a major project that ASKY is embarking on. This simulator is essential not only for the training of our own pilots but also for regional companies that are currently forced to go abroad to train their crews. This will be the first simulator of its kind in West Africa.”
The design and construction process of the project has been approached meticulously, in close collaboration with the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC Togo), to which ASKY expresses its deep gratitude for its support and technical assistance. Beyond this flight simulator, ASKY continues its growth and investment momentum, with the upcoming construction of the Company Headquarters and the establishment of an Aeronautical Maintenance Center in Lomé.
