According to africa.businessinsider.com, a lot of people love looking good. Whether it’s for a big occasion or just to feel confident, beauty enhancements have become a part of daily life worldwide.

In Africa, the demand for beauty products has surged, but not just for makeup or skincare, there’s been a growing market for false beards, eyelashes, and brows.

These beauty accessories have found a home in many African countries, driven by a mix of cultural trends, rising social media influence, and an increasing beauty-conscious population.

According to data from Statisense and Trade Map, South Africa led the way in 2023, importing the highest value of these beauty products, totalling $5.91 million.

Not far behind was Zimbabwe, with imports worth $4.78 million, while Mali and Uganda followed closely at $3.76 million and $3.71 million, respectively.
