TechInAfrica – Tiketi, an Africa-based travel platform, has officially announced its operations opening in Kenya and South Africa through new local travel platforms. The opening of new operations is purposely to benefit from the end of year’s holiday on the continent.

The company, Tiketi.com was founded by Joachim Freyhold while the application launched in the late of January this year. Through the app, travelers are able to search and make a tours reservation in Africa at the best prices.

During the launching of the app in the last January, Freyhold explained that when the first time he built the web travel platform, he only made it as a side work while he was still working in Berlin, Germany. It was a work when he wanted to relax and write.

“As I saw the potential of the website grow, I decided to progress my idea for what Tiketi.com should be. Later, I expanded the service to a flight comparison website but noticed that this service was not working very well in most African countries. It was an example of trial and error, but it helped me develop the path I wanted the website to pursue,” said Freyheld when he finally decided to take it seriously.

The platform provides sufficient information about holiday packages, tours, destinations and activities to users who want to enjoy their holiday. It also gives accurate tickets estimation as well as information about services during holidays, including entry tickets, transportation, and so on.

Tiketi enables its users to switch the app to the local language they’re originated from so that it makes them easier to get a full understanding of the provided contents. Overall, it’s an app designed to encourage tourism across Africa locally and internationally. Not only does it provide local languages but also gives estimated price converted to local currency. Additionally, it also has a full-time customer service.

Customers are also able to personalize Tiketi travel services while at the same time they also can update the content both online or by phone. Using Tiketi, all users who want to travel around Kenya and South Africa will find all the information they need with the most accurate estimated prices and detailed information.
