According to Instablognaija, a popular gossip Instagram account, the moving train was attacked by gumnen on its way to Rigasa, Kaduna Train station.

“A Kaduna bound train conveying hundreds of passengers was on Tuesday attacked at the Rijana village. No injury or casualty was however recorded. One of the commuters Olusegun Giwa who was onboard the attacked coach said the incident happened at 7pm “gunshots were fired at our train, thank God the window glasses of the train were bullet proof that was why the bullets couldn’t permeate into the coach…”

This caused panic as citizens are worried about their loved ones who normally would prefer rail transportation within the Abuja to Kaduna axis.

Atqnews speaking with a senior staff at Abuja Train station, name withheld, Says it’s all false news “it’s just a stone throw by a boy,” He further stated that the Train currently has no bullet proof window glasses, which would have resulted to the bullets penetrating if such thing ever happened. Therefore adviced the public to stop panicking, “The train station is in full operation as it has always been, it is the best in the country and there is no security threat.”
