In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to youth development, Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, has announced a groundbreaking initiative to sponsor indigent youngsters nationwide into the Azman University of Aviation in Kano.
According to a press release by the airline, the announcement took place during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Azman University to the Air Peace headquarters in Lagos on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
Dr. Onyema pledged to provide scholarships to many deserving youths who, despite their potential, face financial barriers to pursuing a university education.
The delegation, led by Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, the founder of Azman University and Chairman of Azman Air, included key members such as the Executive Vice President, Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, Librarian, and the University’s Head of IT.

Dr. Onyema commended Azman University for its dedication to delivering quality education in the country, expressing his belief in the vision of the university’s founder. Recognizing the pivotal role of education in societal advancement, Onyema specifically praised Alhaji Sarina for investing in the education sector, considering it a strategic contribution aligned with the government’s blueprint for education.
Highlighting the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in education, Onyema called on other well-meaning Nigerians to follow suit, emphasizing that education forms the bedrock of any society.
