Despite strong support for Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji from the Tourism 100 club members, the sheer volume of public votes propelled Akwa Ibom to victory. Governor Bassey Otu secured a respectable third place.

The organisers congratulated Governor Eno and the deserving runners-up, nothing that their hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed by Nigerians and the tourism community.

The official award ceremony is scheduled for April 19th at the Wonders of Nigeria Expo in Lagos.
