Tourism 100 was first launched in the year 1999 as a compilation of leading tourism professionals in Nigeria. In 2017 at Abuja Jabamah, the list of tourism and travel professionals was updated and a new membership list drawn up.

Tourism 100 is the ultimate list of the leading Tourism Professionals in Nigeria and during the Covid19 lockdown they were at the Vanguard of promoting domestic tourism using the Naija7wonders weekly Zoom conference from June to December 2020.

Naija7wonders is the search for the Seven Wonders of Nigeria initiated by Atqnews. It was first launched in 2009 and the second edition was in 2020. The selection of the Top 7 manmade destinations was made by members of the Tourism 100 Club.

According to Ambassador Uko, it will be a historic gathering that will bring together both new and existing members, setting the stage for collaboration, innovation, and shared dedication to promoting Nigeria’s domestic tourism potentials.

He emphasized that the core focus of the club’s membership is to drive inbound and domestic tourism growth in Nigeria.

The club will be conducting specialized training sessions for old and new members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively market Nigeria as a premier tourist destination. The club’s commitment to professional development aims to elevate the standard of tourism promotion in the country.

To sustain the momentum and ensure the active participation of its esteemed members, the Tourism 100 Club which is dedicated to recognizing and supporting individuals who have made significant contributions to promoting tourism in Nigeria will fete champions of Tourism.

The listing of the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria, a hallmark of the Tourism 100 Club, serves as a tribute to the relentless efforts and sacrifices of individuals within the tourism landscape. It aims to spotlight the faces behind the exceptional work and dedication that have propelled Nigeria’s tourism industry forward despite challenging conditions.

The event promises to be a catalyst for positive change, engendering unity within Nigeria’s tourism sector.

The induction ceremony will hold in 2024, not to only celebrate new members but will also mark a pivotal moment culminating in the celebration of Post Covid19 surge in domestic tourism.
