Imagine meeting up with someone you’ve never met in your life and having to force a smile, share a meal and conversation with them. Tough right? It didn’t feel that way for our number 2 couple on My Coffee Lagos Blind Date. Better Life Obiamaka Uhunmwangho (Makeup Artist) and Collins Omolade Adesina (Civil Engineer) had a lot of fun together and we were there to capture the moments! From the word go, they couldn’t get their hands off each other… okay, maybe we’re over-exaggerating a little, but it was fireworks at first sight.

Here, they share their thoughts on their entire experience…

How did your date go?
Better Life: I had lot of fun. I can’t say for Collins, but I enjoyed myself and made memories.

Collins: This date was really amazing. I had a lot of fun here and I love her company.

What kind of a person is your date?
Collins: She is beautiful and fun to be with. I had some really engaging conversations with her. She is an intelligent lady.
Better Life: Collins does not look cool at all, but he is a nice person and also so accommodating. I think we complement each other; he is cold and I am hot.

Do you like the outfit your date came in?
Collins: The first thing I complimented her on was her makeup. It makes her look so gorgeous. And the necklace is so nice on the dress. I would buy her a more beautiful dress if she were my girlfriend.
Better Life: I don’t like the hat he is putting on (general laughter), but I would steal the shirt if he were my boyfriend (laughter)

blind-dateYou’ve had your first date at My Coffee Lagos, if there is a second date, where would you love to go?
Better Life: Yeah… I think an Amala joint would be ok (general laughter) …
Collins: And the coolest Amala joint in Lagos is in Sabo (laughter)

So what next after this date?
Better Life: We would still have to talk about it, I hope to see more of him though, but we would talk.
Collins: Definitely we would talk. But I think we should start as friends first. That will be okay.

Would you love a relationship with your date?
Better life: I don’t know about a relationship for now, because I believe it should be a gradual process. Baby steps… but definitely, I can date him.
Collins: I don’t know too, she seems to want to take it slow, and I’m not planning on moving too fast either. Let me just put it this way; she is a kind of person I can date. But we would keep you posted (winks).

What do you think about My Coffee Lagos?
Better Life: Can we have another round please? (General laughter). That’s the extent to which I enjoyed myself here. And I really love the fact that their things are really affordable.
Collins: This place is so cool. I really enjoyed what I ate. It was like it should not finish.

Did you enjoy what you took?
Better Life: Yes I did! Their coffee is the best!
Collins: I really enjoyed my cake. I don’t know what they put in it, but it is so nice.

Will you come back here?
Collins: I am definitely going to come back here. If not for anything, I’m going to come here for the ambience. It is a really nice place.
Better Life: I will come back. I stay very close by when I am in Lagos. It would be a very good place to unwind.

Is the first kiss happening today?
Better Life: No!
Collins: No!

Any endearing words for your date?
Collins: Better Life, you are as beautiful as Cleopatra.
Better Life: Collins, you are a gentleman to the core. I mean, I ate out of your cake and
you allowed me, on our first date! Who does that?
