Africa: Cross River State Tourism Bureau receives Covid-19 Team

The Cross River State COVID-19 team today Wednesday May 6th, visited the Cross River State Tourism Bureau to continue its sensitisation of the fight against the pandemic.

In the team was the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism – Mr. Eric Anderson; Commissioner for solid minerals – Rt. Hon. George Oben Echi and Mr. Great Ogban.

The GM Marketing – Mr. Charles Omoregha received the team on behalf of the MD of the Bureau Mr. John Utsu. He stated that the Bureau is abiding by the no-mask-no-movement directive of the Governor together with the hand sanitizing, social distancing and hand washing lifestyle. He thanked the Governor and the team for the hardwork in ensuring that the virus doesn’t enter our shores.

The Commissioner for Solid minerals – Rt. Hon. George Oben Echi enjoined members the Bureau to also observe the 8pm to 6am curfew, and advice their families and friends to do same.

The Commissioner for Tourism – Mr. Eric Anderson commended the Bureau for its effort so far and tasked the Bureau to use its regulatory skills in ensuring that all MDAs in the Tourism cluster and in Okoi Arkpo House are compliant with the COVID-19 prevention directive.
