The Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) kindly reminds all hotel establishments and tour operators about the importance of ensuring that visitors respect and adhere to Zanzibar’s cultural norms, traditions, and values.

According to a notice released by the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism, all establishments are requested to inform and guide their guests before they leave the premises to observe the appropriate Code of Conduct and Ethics, specifically regarding proper dress code in public areas. Visitors should dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees, particularly when moving around towns, villages, and local communities.
