Much as the deal benefits South Sudan by meeting its power needs, it is considered a win-win for both countries as Ethiopia will equally be at the receiving end of the resulting revenue.

Industry experts revealed that, Ethiopia will become a major power hub, serving more African countries, especially its neighbors following the significant production capacity of the Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD) which was recently launched.
