In a move to enhance its tourism sector, the Ethiopian government has launched a new digital platform called “Visit Ethiopia”, designed to streamline travel planning by offering a centralized online marketplace for booking services.

According to english.news.cn, the initiative aims to make the country more accessible to international tourists while promoting Ethiopia’s rich cultural and natural attractions.

Jointly developed by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Tourism and the Information Network Security Administration (INSA), the platform is designed to better promote the country’s diverse tourism resources through digital technology.

“The platform is intended to effectively promote Ethiopia’s tourism resources, destinations, products and services; provide tourist information in simple and accessible ways; create seamless market transactions; and gather feedback from visitors,” Kassa said.
