Africa: Ethiopian Airlines keeps flights to Lagos and Abuja airports open as it suspends operations to 30 other countries

Africa’s largest carrier, Ethiopian Airlines is cancelling about 30 of its international flight operations to some countries as the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic continues to force businesses globally to shut down.

The airline said it is suspending its operations to countries where landing restrictions have been put in place which also affects the airline’s crews.

Ethiopian airlines took the decision to suspend the flight operations after a meeting with top management of the carrier in Addis Ababa, its hub in Africa.

Somalia – MGQ

Djibouti – JIB

Egypt – CAI

Lebanon – BEY

Sudan – KRT

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – JED/DMM/MED/RUH

Qatar – DOH

Kuwait – KWI

Equatorial Guinea – SSG

Namibia – WDH

Bahrain – BAH

Chad – NDJ

Cameroon – DLA/NSI

Niger – NIM

Madagascar – TNR/NOS

Angola – LAD

Congo – BZV/PNR

Mali – BKO

Senegal – DSS

Congo DRC – FIH/GOM/FBM/FKI

Rwanda – KGL

Nigeria – KAN/PHC (LOS and ABV are operational)

Italy – MXP (FCO is operational)

Ireland – DUB

Spain – MAD

Switzerland – GVA

Indonesia – CGK

The Philippines – MNL

France – MRS – from 22 MAR (CDG operational)

Germany – FRA (welcomes all EU citizens and also UK citizens)

France – CDG and MRS

Austria – VIE

India – BLR, BOM, DEL

Kenya – NBO/MBA

Malaysia – KUL
