A private Namibian airline, FlyWestair, has announced on Wednesday 21 April 2021, that one additional scheduled flight per week between Windhoek’s Eros Airport and Ondangwa’s Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Airport will start from April 28, 2021.
In addition, FlyWestair will offer scheduled flights from Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport to Cape Town’s International Airport weekly Friday and Monday.
“Our airline remains focused on assisting the travel and aviation industry recover in a post-COVID-19 environment,” FlyWestair said.
Meanwhile, the airline announced the addition of a 50-seat Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.
“The current delay in starting with these operations is due to delays with the transportation commission of Namibia not being able to approve these routes,” the airline concluded.
FlyWestair has focused on simplifying the travel experience for international travelers amid the liquidation of the country’s national airline, Air Namibia.
