The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with Capital View Hotel, has commenced a three-day training programme aimed at strengthening guest experience and service delivery within Ghana’s hospitality industry.
The training, which runs from October 4 to 6, 2026, is designed to equip hospitality staff with practical skills and professional mindsets needed to respond effectively to evolving guest expectations and deliver what the organisers describe as the “Wow Experience.”
Speaking on the importance of the programme, GTA Chief Executive Officer, Maame Afua Houadjeto, stressed the need for exceptional customer service in Ghana’s people-centred tourism and hospitality sector.
She noted that the quality of interactions between hospitality workers and visitors remains critical to shaping destination experiences and strengthening Ghana’s competitiveness as a tourism destination.
The programme is expected to go beyond Capital View Hotel, with the GTA planning to replicate the training across its regional offices.
The initiative will enable more hotels and hospitality establishments across the country to access training focused on improving service standards, enhancing guest satisfaction and building a stronger hospitality workforce.
The programme forms part of broader efforts to improve service quality and ensure visitors to Ghana receive memorable and professional experiences throughout their stay.
