In a bid to bolster tourism development in Ghana, the Deputy CEO of Marketing and Special Duties at the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mr. Abeiku Aggrey, has held a strategic meeting with Mr. Ikechi Uko, Chairman of Akwaaba Travel Expo and organizer of Accra Weizor.

The meeting aimed to strengthen the GTA’s collaboration with Akwaaba Travel Expo ahead of hosting Accra Weizor 2025, a West African Travel Show. This event is expected to bring together West African tour operators to immerse themselves in Ghana’s rich tourism offerings, empowering them to promote the country effectively.

By partnering with Akwaaba Travel Expo, the GTA hopes to showcase Ghana’s unique cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and natural attractions to a wider audience. This collaboration is expected to yield positive outcomes for Ghana’s tourism industry, including increased visitor arrivals and revenue generation.
