Africa: Ibom Air maiden flight operation to Calabar excites aviation stakeholders

Nigerian carrier Ibom Air has finally extended its route network to the paradise city of Calabar to the delight of stakeholders in the aviation sector.

The airline in a statement, had earlier said it will fly from Lagos and Abuja to and Calabar daily, bringing their trademark schedule reliability, one-time departures and superior service to their customers on the route.

Ibom Air made a historic maiden flight into Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar with notable personalities on board.

The flight which arrived the Calabar airport at exactly 10:27 am had on board the former governor of the state, Donald Duke, Director of Operations, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Capt. Muktar Yusuf Muye, Nollywood actress/Comedian, Wofai Ewa and other top officers of the airline, who flew in as special guests.

The airline says,” We are totally driven by the desire to bring pleasure and pleasantness back into flying”.

It added, “That’s why we are pleased to be able to offer our Calabar-bound passengers the experience of air travel in comfort, convenience and style”.
