Chief Executive Officer of Kalo Live TV Kazeem Akinola Balogun, has been listed as one of the top 100 tourism personalities in Nigeria.
Kazeem Akinola Balogun, was born close to five decades ago in Lagos. He attended both Primary and secondary schools in Lagos. He proceeded to the prestigious Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where he studied Mass Communication.
His passion for tourism and Africanism compelled him to establish Kalo Africa Media –another company of his that focuses on tourism, travel, culture, hospitality, MICE, arts and the related. Kazeem has been in tourism business for more than 17years, writing, documenting, marketing, promoting and packaging Nigeria to the world and the world to Nigeria.
Kalo, as he is fondly called in the industry, has acquired many tourism certifications online and still progressing in his quest to remain relevant as demanded by the sector and current realities. He has also participated in many tourism related events in Nigeria, Africa and globally, such as Akwaaba African Travel Market-a top-notch tourism/travel, MICE event in Nigeria. Magical Kenya, Namibian Expo, SITA-Ivory Coast, Arabian Travel Market among others.
He once published Global Tourism and Culture Magazine. Also, he owns Kalo Africa TV-a tourism centred content shown on StarTimes platform now on youtube TV showcasing the tourism potentials of Nigeria and other African countries to the rest of the world as the name suggests “Let’s go to Africa”.
His tour packaging division-Kalo Africa Getaway has taken great numbers of tourists, top executives, corporate entities and families within Nigeria to various African destinations on business, holiday and MICE purposes.
He currently runs KALO LIVE TV streaming on social media with programmes such as TOURISM VIEW-an interview content that showcases Nigerian, African and Global tourism stakeholders of high repute. Similarly, another content on the same platform, GLOBAL DESTINATION showcases different tourism destinations within Nigeria, Africa and other international destinations.
He freelances as a tourism and entertainment correspondent for Cityvoice Newspaper(now online) since 2012. His passion for development of tourism in Nigeria prompted him to visit more than 18 states in Nigeria still counting, documenting tourism potentials of the country as well as visiting more than 30 African countries, counting also, doing same. He aims at playing a prominent role in tourism nationally and at continental level.
