Luxury Event Space

A Lagos-based company, Upfront and Statistics, has converted a private jet worth N150 million into a luxury event space, providing an exclusive venue for social and corporate gatherings.

According to punchng.com, At the unveiling of the facility in Lagos, the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Eboh, said the repurposed aircraft would serve multiple functions, including wedding photoshoots, music video productions, dinner dates, and business meetings, according to a statement.

“This is the first of its kind in Nigeria. We have created a space that caters for various services, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a podcast recording, or a high-end business meeting. It’s a real business opportunity, not just a luxury experience,” Eboh stated.

The CEO explained that he drew inspiration from a similar concept in Los Angeles and decided to introduce it to the Nigerian market, which he described as having a growing appetite for high-end lifestyle experiences.

Eboh noted that the location was strategically selected to ensure accessibility while maintaining exclusivity.

“It’s a freehold property, so you don’t need estate permissions to enter. However, access is strictly by booking—no walk-ins allowed. Bookings are strictly by appointment, with a minimum charge of N100,000 per hour, depending on the type of event,” the businessman added.

He revealed that executing the project came with significant challenges, including construction, labour, and logistics. He revealed that he engaged experts and skilled local workers who worked to transform the property in about a year.

Further, Eboh hinted at a possible upgrade to enhance the experience, noting, “We are considering making the engine functional to make the experience more immersive.”

He also noted that the private jet would serve as a prime location for content creators, filmmakers, and influencers who require a premium setting for their productions.

“If you go to the airport to shoot content, it’s expensive and difficult. We brought the experience to the ground to make it accessible for those who want to elevate their work,” he said.

An associate at Upfront and Statistics, Dennis Kange, disclosed that the firm also offers accommodation services for customers who wish to stay over.

“Apart from the luxury of the jet, we provide accommodation for those who come with their crew and want to stay over.,” Kange asserted.
