In June 2004, I was employed at Aristocrat Travels International, Adamasingba Ibadan as a secretary and this was where my journey in Travels and Tourism began!
I was desperate to get out of where I was working before because I felt cheated after investing my time and energy and there was a Conspiracy. The Money “wey I don spend in My Head” was shared among the people that never lifted a finger! “Aye Le O” (Story for another Day).
After the whole issue I just wanted a different Job and environment entirely, then I started scouting for job. I had a choice to stay in a toxic environment, bitter and negative or channel a new career path.
In May 2004, I went to my tailor’s place and found this advert for vacancies at a travels agency. I did not have an Idea of the job description or ethics but I believed I would give my best and learn while at it. I applied and was shortlisted for Interview and eventually, same Evening I got a call that I have been chosen to Work in that Travels Company! I was very happy. It was a deam come true for me. Little did I know that this job will change a whole lot about me.
I am happy today because I chose the career path! Looking back at a decision I made then, I am eternally grateful to God for what happened at my old work place that made me feel uncomfortable to stay and looked for something different! Meanwhile, the tailor I mentioned was introduced to me by a colleague at work which also contributed to my story!
Some of us found destiny not actually looking out for it but the God of our Journey, opened our minds and eyes of understanding along the line and we are able to DISCERN!
It has not been a challenge free journey but it has brought Great Men and Women along my path and added great value to me.
