Africa: NCAA Hosts Aviation Security Symposium to Bolster Safety in Nigerian Airspace

In a bid to strengthen aviation security and ensure safer skies across Nigeria, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) convened key industry stakeholders at a high-level symposium in Abuja.

The event, themed “Fundamentality of Aviation Security in Achieving the Safe-Skies Goal,” was led by the Director General, Capt. Chris Najomo, and focused on collaborative strategies to enhance security protocols within the nation’s aviation ecosystem.

In attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni; Managing Director/CEO of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku; former DG NCAA; Capt. Harold Demuren; heads of aviation agencies; heads of security agencies operating at airports; and directors from NCAA and FAAN.

During the event, the MD/CE FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku,delivered a goodwill address, reaffirming FAAN’s unwavering commitment to enhancing aviation security as a key pillar in delivering safe, secure, and efficient air travel across Nigeria.
