The Niger State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ladidi Rakiya Bawa Bosso, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Mallam Habib Abdulkadir, the General Manager, Tourism Corporation, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, the Director of Tourism, Hajiya Rakiya Umar Tiffi, and the Information and Public Relations Officer, Lubabatu Mohammed Kusherki, recently met with the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) to deepen collaboration on developing and promoting key tourism sites across the state.
The delegation was accompanied by senior staff members of the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, with discussions focused on upgrading tourism infrastructure and showcasing Niger State’s rich cultural and natural attractions.

Four priority sites were identified for promotion: Bida Culture Hub, Gurara, Ladi Kwali and Zungeru.
The Director General reaffirmed NTDA’s commitment to working with states to ensure tourism development is spread across the country. He highlighted the power of Nigeria’s culture, music, dance, food and heritage, as well as the role of technology and digital storytelling in positioning Nigeria as a global tourism destination.
The Niger State team noted that while development plans are in place, NTDA’s support will be key to amplifying visibility and attracting more visitors.
Both parties agreed to work closely to drive sustainable tourism growth and unlock Niger State’s full tourism potential.
