Africa: Nigeria Aviation closes Kano, Enugu and Port Harcourt Airports to International flights as Travel Ban takes effect

As The Nigerian government issues an Official NOTAM to Airlines it also informed them that only 2 Airports will receive all international Flights to Nigeria.

The Notice to Airmen NOTAM signed by the CEO of NCAA went along with the demands of Airlines Owners of Nigeria AON demand to keep only Lagos and Abuja Airports open.

The Travel Ban starts 12 Midnight tomorrow Friday.

According to a statement signed by the Director General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Nuhu Musa, effective from midnight Saturday 21st March 2020 the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport and Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu International Airport and Port Harcourt International Airport will be closed to international flights.

The statement said only Nnamdi International Airport Abuja and Murtala Muhammed International Airport will be opened to and accept international flights irrespective of the type of operation.

The statement said all operators are directed to comply with the restrictions.
