Africa: Nigeria Immigration Service commends Lagos Govt. on tackling COVID-19 pandemic, as it deploys new Comptroller to State

COMPTROLLER General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede has commended the Lagos state governor Babajide Sowolu and his team on measures put in place to tackle the menace of coronavirus pandemic.

Babandede made this known through the newly appointed Lagos state comptroller NIS Doris Braimah as she paid a courtesy visit to the governor on Wednesday.

Braimah stressed that the NIS is ready to work with other security agencies in the state to move the state forward.

She noted that in line with vision of the CG, the Lagos NIS will ensure that issues of migration and other immigration issues are carried out in line with the stipulated laws.

On his part Gov Sowolu while welcoming her appreciated the NIS for the good work they are doing under the leadership of the CGI Mohammad Babandede and also thank God for the quick recovery of the Comptroller General from Covid 19.

Sowolu says he looks forward to a good working relationship between the state and the Lagos command of the NIS.
