The Port Health Services of the Federal Ministry of Health has announced that, with immediate effect, all passengers arriving in Nigeria must complete the Nigeria Health Declaration Form as part of measures aimed at strengthening public health surveillance and disease prevention.

According to the directive, passengers who are unable to complete the form online before arrival will be provided with paper-based versions upon arrival in Nigeria.

The Ministry also stated that all travelers bound for Nigeria must undergo the approved pre-departure Ebola screening process. Passengers who fail to meet the screening requirements will not be permitted to board their flights to Nigeria.

The Nigeria Health Declaration Form has been introduced as a critical public health measure to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, monitor the possible importation of health threats, and support the effective control of disease outbreaks. Authorities say the initiative is designed to safeguard the health and well-being of all Nigerians while strengthening the country’s disease surveillance system.
