Nigerian Carrier, Ibom Air, has released its score card for the year 2023, with the airlines operating 10, 391 flights in the country and achieving 80% On Time Performance in the aviation sector.
According to statistics released by the airline, it had 10,715 flights scheduled for operation and 1,555 re-scheduled flights, with 83% scheduled reliability.
It said, 2,062 flights were delayed, beyond 15 minutes and 324 flights were canceled. The airline which has had a remarkable performance the aviation sector, has been taking giant strides.
The airline recently, commenced regional flight to Accra, Ghana with a to broaden its flight routes.
The announcement comes on the heels of the airline’s successful coverage of major cities within Nigeria and its recent foray into international operations with commercial flights to Ghana.

According to atqnews.com, the state Governor, Pastor Umo Eno who stated this at the formal delivery of the first of the ten-brand new Airbus A200-300 series at the Victor Attah International Airport Uyo on Friday commended former governor Udom Emmanuel for his vision in conceptualizing the airline which he described as the pride of Akwa Ibom and Nigeria in the aviation industry.
According to him, “In under five years, Ibom Air has expanded its routes to major cities in Nigeria and recently started its commercial operations to Accra, Ghana. Plans are afoot to expand the routes into the East, Central and South African regions.
Ibom Air, recently signed a partnership with Zenith Bank and air manufacturing giant, Airbus for the successful financing of Ibom Air’s first A220 delivered in November 2023.
The agreement between Ibom Air and Zenith Bank, which was facilitated by Airbus, is part of a broader shift that could provide much-needed financial momentum and signal a new era of financial support for the continent’s promising aviation sector.
