Guinness world Record

Abuja-based food consultant, Munachimso Brian Nwana has broken a new Guinness world Record for visiting over 150 fast food restaurants in 24 hours to smash the record.

The 22-year-old content creator achieved the feat when he visited 150 fast-food restaurants in Abuja in a day.

According to Guinness World Records, Munachimso trekked to the restaurants since no form of private transport can be used while attempting the record.

Munachimso walked over 25 km, beginning at Chicken Republic in the residential district of Gwarinpa and finishing in the city centre at the fast food chain Kilimanjaro. Munachimso visited 150 different establishments, smashing the previous record of 100, which was set last year by American YouTuber Airrack. Speaking earlier about the attempt, Munachimso said his goal is to “promote Abuja’s restaurants and showcase Nigerian cuisine”.

“I’m doing this for three major reasons. First of all, I want to put Nigerian foods more specifically Abuja foods on the map by showing the different kinds and varieties of food we have in the country,” he said in a video shared on his Instagram in March. “Secondly, I’m an Abuja-based food content creator and I work with a lot of Abuja food businesses so I have seen how the economy has negatively affected them. I aim to use this opportunity and attempt to promote the food businesses. “I also want to use the attempt to give back to my community. I’m going to do this by collaborating with the spots to give free food to the members of the community who really need it.”
