Nigeria’s startup carrier, Ibom Air, has commenced scheduled daily flights operation into the City of Port-Harcourt from Lagos and Abuja, starting Monday the 5th of July 2021.
The airline said the launch of the Port-Harcourt flights from Lagos and Abuja is part of its ongoing expansion program.
“Our aim is to be able to offer our promise of schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service to a wider pool of domestic travelers across the country.
“Port Harcourt will bring to six the total number of destinations we cover in the country, in addition to Uyo, Lagos, Abuja, Calabar and Enugu.”
In a statement by the COO of Ibom Air Mr George Uriesi, “We want to take this opportunity to assure our passengers that safety and customer satisfaction will remain at the center of Ibom Air’s operations, and we will continue to work hard to meet and exceed your expectations, so that you continue to see us as your airline of first choice”.
The award winning airline recently took delivery of two Airbus A220 aircraft to increase its aviation capacity in the aviation industry.
According to Ibom Air the arrival of the two aircraft in the sector is to bring the much needed capacity, more comfort, enhanced safety and increased reliability to the domestic air travel market.
According to the Group Manager Marketing, Ibom Airlines Limited, Aniekan Essienette, both new leased aircraft are the result of the Airline’s decision to fast track its fleet development plan in order to respond to a surge in passenger numbers, which stretched the capacity of its CRJ900 fleet to the maximum.
She said with the arrival of both leased jets, the airline is now able to provide the much-needed capacity sought by its fast-increasing clientele.
