Nigerian model Oma Osele has clinched the Miss Continental World 2026 crown in Ayutthaya, Thailand, emerging ahead of contestants from several countries at the October 9 grand finale and adding a new international achievement to Nigeria’s growing presence in global beauty pageants.

According to olorisupergal.com, India’s Shreeya Panda finished first runner-up, while Osele’s performance earned additional recognition across the competition. The Nigerian contestant also won Queen of Africa, which recognises the highest-placing African delegate, and Best National Attire.

Those honours strengthened her winning campaign and highlighted the cultural presentation she brought to the international stage. Osele, 28, works as a medical laboratory scientist, entrepreneur, and model based in Lagos.

She represented Nigeria after winning EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025, securing her place in the international competition. Her momentum had already grown in September, when she topped the global fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform.

That result earned her the World Premiere Award, adding an early achievement before the final night. Osele finished ahead of India’s Monica Konjengbam and Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju in the voting contest.

Her success in Thailand now places Nigeria firmly in the spotlight of international beauty pageantry. The victory also adds a new milestone to Nigeria’s record of achievements at global competitions.

Osele’s combination of pageant performance and cultural representation helped distinguish her throughout the event. The result offers a proud moment for Nigerian talent and strengthens the country’s presence on the international stage.
