Gambia Ghana collaboration

A Gambian delegation led by Mrs. Amie Njie, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture The Gambia, visited Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in Accra as part of a familiarisation programme aimed at strengthening bilateral tourism relations.

Discussions focused on joint destination promotion to position West Africa as a connected, multi-destination experience, institutional partnerships between tourism bodies in both countries, capacity building and knowledge exchange for tourism professionals, and increased visitor exchanges between Ghana and The Gambia.

With shared history, culture and heritage, both countries see strong potential to grow intra-African travel and offer visitors richer experiences across the region. The Gambia Tourism Board looks forward to the partnerships that will emerge from this engagement
