The National President of the Iyara Development Association, Dr. Aliyu Badaki, has received an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding service to the community.
According to thedrumreporter, the tenure of Dr. Badaki has been heralded by peace and positive transformation with meaningful development across the Community.
The award was conferred on him at a reception organized in his honour by the Lokoja Branch of IDA and was accompanied by his Vice President, Mr. Emmanuel Olorunfemi, Secretary of Kogi State Chapter of JNI, Alh. Isah Adeboye and Alh. Aminu Musa from Abuja Branch.
In his earlier remarks, the Branch Chairman of IDA Lokoja, Elder Moses Omonisaiye said the Branch as pacesetter in the Community, decided to organise the Reception to celebrate an Achiever and distinguished Son of the land.
Elder Omonisaiye, who also announced the appointment of the IDA National President as the Life Patron of the Branch, said members are proud of his modest achievements, describing him as a rare breed and goal Getter.
The Chairman conveyed the appreciation of members of the Branch to Dr. Aliyu Badaki for his moral support always, describing his tenure as remarkable and eventful.
Responding, the elated Nation President of IDA, Alh. Aliyu Badaki described the honour done him as historic and the first from the Branch of the Association, nationwide.
Alh. Badaki dedicated the Award to his family for their patience while carrying out the assignment of the Community, saying their sacrifice is commendable.
He also dedicated to the leadership and members of Jamaatu Nasir Islam (JNI) for supporting him with prayers and expressed warm appreciation to the Branch for the honour.
He described the Honour as thoughtful, adding that it will spur him not to relent in ensuring peace and development of the Community.
