The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control has announced the successful upgrade of its e-Visa system, which is now fully operational at www.visas.immigration.go.ug, making the application process smoother for travelers.
Earlier this month Uganda has earlier announced on its X account (formerly Twitter), Uganda Immigration explained that due to an upgrade to the electronic immigration system, airlines are temporarily allowed to board travelers to Uganda without prior e-Visa approval.
According to the Spokesperson Ministry of Internal Affairs Public Relations Office Mr Mundeyi Simon Peter, All individuals applying for visas, Work/Entry Permits, Certificates of Residence, Special Passes, Student Passes, Dependant Passes, Internship/Research Passes, Visitors Passes, and Citizenship can now conveniently apply for these services online. The cost for a visa remains at $50 USD.
