Presidential candidate of the One Seychelles party, Alain St. Ange had a rendezvous with famous CNN anchor Richard Quest, while the later was in Seychelles to film the programme ‘Quest World of Wonders’ for the global satellite network.
An elated St. Ange, President of the African Tourism Board (ATB) and a much sought after conference speaker on tourism matters, remarked “The last time we met was when he was interviewing me on CNN about my campaign for the post of Secretary-General of the UNWTO.”
Quest and St. Ange spoke about the One Seychelles’ vision for Seychelles and the current status of the tourism industry.
This is the first visit to Seychelles by Richard Quest, although he has had many interactions with different Seychellois tourism personalities before. While on the island nation, the CNN anchor toured the main island of Mahé as well as the islands on Praslin, La Digue and Bird Island.
Richard Quest was met at the airport by the Chief Executive of Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), Sherin Francis who announced his arrival via a social media post which reads, “Pulling our beautiful islands into the international spotlight CNN Anchor, Mr. Richard Quest is in Seychelles and met STB Chief Executive, Sherin Francis this morning at the airport on his way to Bird Island… We think our sunny weather agrees with him, don’t you?”
Richard Quest remains a very influential press personality and his visit to Seychelles should bring positives vibes for the country’s tourism industry.
